They built their names at another address, joined at the right moment, and brought their book of business with them. ZMM is different.

Construction disputes are not accidents, they are built into projects long before anyone files a claim. On 14 May 2026, ZMM's Senior Partner Andrew Heng and Founding Partner Datuk Megat delivered a full-day programme in Putrajaya for PJH and KLCC's project and legal teams, covering the three pressure points that define virtually every construction dispute: delay, payment, and variations. The morning unpacked why refusing a justified Extension of Time does not protect LAD entitlement, it destroys it and why notice obligations are conditions precedent, not administrative formalities. The afternoon turned to what actually wins and loses cases: contemporaneous documentation, witness quality and the discipline to settle from strength rather than attrition. Across both sessions, one theme ran through everything. The disputes that are hardest to defend are the ones where the paperwork was not done at the time. The ones that hold up are the ones where it was.
