Fakhruddin is a member of the Construction & Energy team at ZMM. He pursued his legal studies at the International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM), obtaining both his LL.B. (Hons.) in Law and LL.B. (Hons.) in Shariah with an Upper Second-Class classification. He was called to the Bar in 2025 after completing his pupillage at Zain Megat & Murad, where he immersed in construction disputes, banking litigation and corporate advisory work.
At ZMM, Fakhruddin focuses primarily on construction law. He handles arbitration, adjudication, and court litigation relating to construction disputes, while also handling a broad range of matters including corporate, banking, and commercial disputes. His practice further extends to contract drafting, regulatory compliance, and strategic advisory, drawing on his multidisciplinary background to provide holistic solutions for clients.
Before commencing practice, Fakhruddin built diverse experience in the fields of research, finance, and policy. He was involved in strategic consulting and regulatory research, providing advisory services on political, economic and sociological issues, including foreign direct investment frameworks. He also gained exposure in finance and asset management, where he authored market reports, conducted compliance work under financial regulatory frameworks, and contributed to product development strategies.
Beyond his legal career, Fakhruddin is a certified diver and enjoys creative pursuits such as painting and reading. A keen admirer of classic rock, particularly Pink Floyd, he often finds inspiration in music and art as a counterbalance to the demands of practice.
