Mohd Shahir Md Tahir

Shahir is a partner in the Litigation team at ZMM. He received his early education at the Malay College of Kuala Kangsar and completed his Bachelor of Laws at the International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM) in 2010. After graduating, it can be said that he is born and bred in ZMM where he completed his pupillage in the chambers of Datuk Megat Abdul Munir.

He had a short stint as a Legal Manager in one of the biggest chemical traders in Malaysia, Kong Long Huat Chemicals Sdn Bhd where he oversees legal, human resources and administrative matters in the company which has branch all over Malaysia and trading both locally as well as internationally.

As per the Malay proverbs “Bagai sirih pulang ke gagang”, Shahir returned to ZMM in 2020 and handles various general litigation as well as arbitration matters, acting for both companies and individuals in various areas of disputes, including civil and commercial, companies and shareholders disputes; land disputes; industrial relation; grant and probate. He also engages in criminal matters as and when needed by clients. Last but not least, he is also involved in corporate matters including listing of companies on Bursa Malaysia as well as handling conveyancing matters.

For leisure, Shahir likes to wind down with his PS5 either by playing FIFA online with his friends or playing any good open world games such as Assassin’s Creed, God of War and Far Cry games series.
